They were both nothing great. I expected more out of cville though. I pretty much figured the gorge would be what it was.

Gorge n3 is above average as far as this summer tour went but the other two nights had to suffer for that to happen.

Both are primo as far as I'm concerned, but The Stone as the can opener and the solid flow of the set clearly puts the Gorge on top for me.

N1 had a rediculous old school run right down the middle, along with an above average open. N2 was great too in my opinion.

I agree. no reason to call it anything other than what it is. a good set.

It should be an average set is what I meant to say. There's absolutely no reason the band can't play a set like that on a nightly basis

I was at C'ville and couldn't make the Gorge. C'ville was very good, but did not meet my somewhat higher expectations. Gorge N3 was quite a bit better, I think. Given that, I do agree Gorge Ns 1 and 2 were slightly above average for this tour, but not by much, and are being significantly overrated on these boards.

Despite the above, I would have loved to have been at the Gorge. I'm just going by the setlist. No doubt the atmosphere was truly great.

I might be biased as N3 was my 41st show, but it is in my top 3 Dave shows I've seen. I thought for sure we were getting a double encore which would have vaulted it to #1

Gorge N3 was my 57th show since 2003, and have seen the band at least three shows every year since then. N3, while perhaps not "absolutely, God-blessed, phenomenal",.... It was pretty damned good. In my top 3 for sure. Switch Ants and Stay around, and it'd have been even better, in my humble, relatively inexperienced opinion. I wasn't at C'Ville 2010, but *on paper* gorge wins for me, hands down.

Was at all 3 nights at the gorge and they were all fantastic. Personally N2 was my favorite. Biggest crowd I have ever seen there and I have been going to dmb shows there since '05. Also various sasquash, lollapolloza and tool concerts. Just the awesome spot I got on the fence, the crowd energy, and performances did it for me. Bartender, Cry freedom, were a special treat and sister>two step>halloween encore, while played much on this tour was fuckin beast. Rooftop is also a fun live tune.
N1, N3, are tied for 2nd. N3 would have been, but the encore was weak imo. Ants with the extended boyd solo was really cool, especially from the pit!
Friday was a great run of songs BOWA opener, LLD, big eyed fish, recently, but Dave seemed a bit melancholy, at the end said 'goodbye' instead of good night. Its not over reacting just an observation, the man is solid and really brought ever ounce of passion in N3.

I am sad for 2017.
