A fully mixed release of any show is a different situation, if done well. A 2016 Gorge fully mixed show is hopefully going to sound a lot better than the tapes we have, though the tapes are good, they do not sound as quality as a fully mixed official release. And it's not always about unreleased material. I was just making my point that if that is THE reason to buy the Georgia Theater show it's not worth it.
I don't get the need for this 1994 show when the soundboard sounds fantastic. All they've done in most of the DMBlive series is boost EQ's, and take out any noticeable hiccups or blips in sound. It's the same exact source as the tapes available because they were allowed to plug into the soundboard. This is nothing different than that. If this was a show that was uncirculated, poor quality tape, or previously non-existent, it would also be a different story.
IMO Dmblive releases should be shows that aren't available as a soundboard (mic source is different) in the taper circulation, unique (as in more than one unreleased song that wasn't on the previous release from the same venue in the same year), and/or years we don't have a ton or material from. The best ones for me are the Academy, Beneroya Hall, and the 98 Philly show. Even the D+T Prism house I didn't purchase because again the tape is really good, what is the official soundboard released going to offer that the tape can't?
