It's not like one night they feel like playing Let You Down and can do it, he needs practice.
So it takes a month to teach him a new song?? Ur reasoning is weak.

I've been quiet on this, but this Chula Vista show got me noticing it more and more. Almanac ranked it 34/34 in rarity and it has 11 BW songs. I know this is an album tour, but I feel like the last great show was Deer Creek N2.

The 2 night shows basically consist of BW songs mixed with Grey Street, OSW, Nancies, 41, YMDT, DDTW, Crash, LIOG, SDL, Satellite, Everyday, RR, Ants, Stay or Leave, Billies.

We gotta get some variability. This is the first time I can ever remember thinking maybe they're playing just too many shows.

The thing is though it is not the same people going to every show. We are in no position to really complain because we are not at every show. You went to Chula but how many other show have you been to? People complain about setlists because they see it online. Most people complaining are not at the show or have gone to 5+ shows. In that case maybe don't go to as many. Sorry if that was confusing.

But I was just wondering how many times you've been disappointed by the band; whether it be the setlist they chose, cancelled a show, album delay, a song they wrote, etc... We all spend a lot of time and money on the band and I think we have every right to be disappointed from time to time.

My biggest disappointment is the cancelling of the Utah show...for the 2nd year in a row. I know it's been discussed so I'm not going to beat it to death but I just wish they would have done something for the fans that have been waiting for 2 years to see them play in Utah.

This isn't intended to be a bash DMB thread, I'll never stop listening to them and 99.9% of the time they are perfect...just curious.

Governor's Island made me lose a lot of respect for the band. I still like their music, but I'll never be the fan I used to be.
Everyone knew a storm was coming in on that first night, and that the other two shows would be cancelled. People came in from everywhere to see that caravan in NYC and what do they do? They play the weakest ass show I've ever seen. That lack of effort just did me in. They could have made that one night super special, but instead they just ruined it for me, and I know I'm not alone.

If Irene didn't happen and they played an epic N3 with the Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, that would be a different story. I had tickets the whole weekend

Sorry for being a dick but your post makes no sense....by your logic, i can't judge a show if I didn't attend it..

And even if what you said were true... just because most people don't go to several shows per tour, that's a valid reason to play the same general song selection all tour? I don't follow your reasoning

Well if you look at the date on the post, you would see that I was posting on a Thursday night.

And if you're talking about perfect DMB shows, 10% is very generous. 40% are very good, 30% are average, and the other 20% are just bad. That's the reality of this band now.
