If I didn't know any better, AntsMarching could either be a fan site, or a site dedicated to hating DMB depending on which threads you browse.

On topic though, never been dissapointed in the band because I've only seen them twice! The more you see them/follow them, the more critical you are of the band.

Yeah, there does seem to be much more negativity here than on other band fan sites I've frequented.

It would be lame it everyone was always positive....but the negativity goes a bit overboard here I think. But it's manageable by just avoiding clearly negative threads and putting some of the worst Debbie Downers on ignore.

Absolutely. I didn't start this to hate on DMB, you cannot avoid criticism by other people, I'm sorry, you just can't. I was just curious as to what other people get disappointed by.

Once again, I love DMB, have all the albums, Live Trax, whatever...
I think it's unrealistic to have an unwavering love for the band and never be disappointed by anything they do

it would have been better not to release anything at all if they were that lost and uninspired. to put that out and hype it the way they did, that was a disappointment to me.

Good call...to put out a bad album is one thing. To put out a bad album and hype it up when the band knew it didn't compete with anything they had ever done is very disappoing

i think it's safe to write that we all have a relationship with this band (weird maybe, maybe not?) and in a relationship there are ups and downs. the good must outweigh the bad in order for it to sustain. that's the way i feel about dmb - could the setlists be more to my liking sometimes? sure. could danny barnes mind his fucking business 3 nights in a row at the gorge? absolutely. nevertheless, i keep coming back year after year because the good outweighs the bad 9 times out of 10. so as for dissapointments...not many...just bumps in the road for me. i'll be here as long as they'll have me.

I know I'm new to Ants, but reading this thread shocks me a little. If you are so disappointed in the band, what are you doing here? Again, I'm new, but I have loved every album they have ever released. Yes, were there albums I liked more, absolutely. Were there songs that I didn't care for on some albums, absolutely. But, coming on to Ants to tell fans how disappointed you are in the band seems a bit ridiculous to me. I just got back from N2 @ the Gorge, and that was the best concert I have ever been to. I love everything about BW, even enjoyed DB's songs. I think respecting what the band puts out for us, and how hard they work to bring us amazing concerts all year round is what we should focus on. Now, I'm not hardcore, I don't travel around the country following them, but when I am at a show, there is no where I would rather be. And for me that's what really counts.

I think if this set was played at the next concert DMB plays this year this board would explode LOL But in all seriousness all the unknown songs made for weak energy and not to mention a mid-set sister, and 5 SU songs to kill some energy.

Only time I have been really disappointed in the band was Alpine N1 this year, only time I have walked away from a show feeling a meh feeling, and it wasnt even that horrible of a show, but a few songs they chose to play really left me kind of bitter,

I've been disappointed in management decisions, like what shows they release but I really don't put too much of that blame on the band.
