Warehouse Membership expiring

How much did a WH membership cost in 1998? What's that in real dollars today?

Mine expires next week but I went ahead and renewed it anyway, in the event there are any D&T shows in 2017.

was a member for about 15 years. didnt renew this past year. no point. i always got better tix on the WH and Ants boards. $30 for a 10 track cd, no thanks.

but now you no longer have access to the WH boards for tix. Its decent here, but there always seems to be alot more available that are posted there.

yeah thats true, but i have friends who are still members and keep an eye out for me on the WH boards when i need tix.

point is, i've been to 40+ shows, and i hate GA Pit. So unless they bring back seated pit, i'm happy with the seat locations i can find on the boards. not paying $35 for access to a message board. and above all, my passion for this band no longer justifies going to more than 1 show a tour (2 max).

It'll be interesting to see what the WH does in 2017 if they really are taking the whole year off. They will have to do something to justify the $35, especially with the trend of new members getting better seats than senior members. If they come back in 2018 and everyone renews their membership will they get better seats than those that stayed in 2017?

Yep, I can't let it go at this point. It's like buying a lottery ticket each week, and as bad as the tickets are lately, it's still a better payoff.

I'd rather use that $3 to buy a Snickers every month. I stopped trying to get tickets through them. They don't have any real exclusives in the store and the "gifts" are never worth it.

Even if it's only $3 a month it doesn't make sense to keep it if I'm not utilizing it.

That's a big reason I keep it.
I also just like the nostalgia. i've been a member for 14 years. And I think that's cool. Its the longest commitment of anything besides family members I have going.

Plus even though I'm broke, At the end of the day I can always spare $30. Plus it renews on my birthday month, so I always hold out bday money for that.

pretty excited to see what the limited amount of hype is all about for remaining a member. Requested 3 nights at Gorge, only got one night of what I requested and the other two nights are in the uppers (based on amount charged). In other words, the hype clearly has nothing to do with seniority seat assignments. .........

We have been members since 98. Our membership expires in March. We got tickets for the atlanta show thru the warehouse earlier this year. For some reason this year the renewal reminders went to the spam folder. Went to sign in this past week before our atlanta show and it said our membership had lapsed and we would have to sign in as a new member. I contacted the warehouse to see if there was anything they would do, since this was the first time this had happened in 16 years. Their reply is a simple no, it expired, you can create a new membership. So much for customer service. And over 16 years, it never got us great seats. We had friends join to get tickets for the atlanta show and ended up with better seats than ours. No chance we would renew.

This is why I set an annual reminder via google calendar to renew. I just don't trust the warehouse reminder system.

I usually hate on the warehouse ticketing as much as the next guy, but this year the WH came through and gave me great mid-pavillion, dead center seats for riverbend and confirmed both nights of DC with lowers the 2nd night (uppers first). From that perspective, it was worth my membership for the year to not have to deal with the hassle of hunting down seats after the fact and dealing with that mess.

That being said, the warehouse package I always value at around $15, so the true WH cost is not that hefty, so if ticketing works I come out well ahead. Some years it pays, some years it doesn't, but in the long run I am well ahead.

You should also price out the cost of the Warehouse tickets vs the same seats on ticketmaster with fees. After all is said and done, you probably recouped the price of the Warehouse fees in ticket savings.

Price it out! If you go to more than one show a year, it's cost effective to be a Warehouse member and buy your tickets through the Warehouse!
