I was really hoping to get on the internet, too. Oh well. What will I do without it for a week.

Well you can use dialup for free...but i guess you have to have something like AOL for that. They also charge you for dialing out like .75 cents per call.

I don't think my bf has AOL on his computer or any other type of dial up for that matter.

some places have free internet and chances are if they are charging, they will have a computer in the lobby or something.

I used to work there in the year 2000... I'm really pissed about how they fucked up Pirates of the Caribbean. It was my favorite ride of all time. Now, I'm sure I'll ride it once, but it's going to really upset me.

I've seen video of it and the changes are very subtle and I welcome the addition of Jack Sparrow and Barbosa on the Wicked Wench. It looks natural. Also the addition of the movie score thru some of the scenes is very cool, the score for both films are awesome! Plus they changed back the pirates to chasing the women again.

Personally i'm huge fan of the UK. They have a great pub there and then you can take your drinks and enjoy the stylings of the British Invasion, which is a Beatles cover band that is really good. Check the days for their showtimes, because they are off on one or two days of the week.

Attraction wise, Norway has the best with the Maelstrom, even though it is really short.

I could live with the pirates chasing the women again, that would be okay. I don't know, I'm kinda thinking that I would have preferred a seperate Pirates of the Caribbean movie ride, something surround Jack seperate from the classic original ride. The adventures of Jack Sparrow could have replaced (or gone behind) the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse - that thing is boring.

Hey, what about taking the Treehouse, and changing it into the hoodoo lady's house from Pirates II, and having a small ride go from there? There is plenty of room behind the Treehouse and Jungle Cruise (I think), why not?

Either way, I don't know, it just seems very Johnny Depp centric from the video I've seen. I loved the ride the way it was when I saw it several times a week in 2000, and when I last visited it last October. I'm just going to miss it.

BTW - the Tiki Room sucks now that they've "updated" it to coincide with a major movie release. There's another ride that should have been left alone, though I kind of like the update on Alien Encounter. I guess it's a mixed bag, and I'm nervous about losing this classic in the way that we lost the Tiki Room. But maybe it'll be another Alien. I guess I'll just have to go and see.

And to the thread starter -- You MUST ride Mission Space. It's amazing!!

While you're at Epcot, check out Soarin', and for a late lunch/dinner, I love Mexico and the UK. Excellent dining either way. Skip Italy, for dining anyway. Overpriced and nothing special at all. I've had better Italian food at home here in Chicago. I love Germany and Japan, China was cool, Canada was interesting, Norway is the bomb, the UK is also fun, and Mexico is excellent as well. Morocco is interesting too, and I do enjoy the American Pavillion. I haven't seen what they've done to the Living Seas, I guess they turned it into some sort of Finding Nemo thing. Hmph. I did some scuba diving there a long time back and it was incredible. Still my favorite part of Epcot, but I haven't seen their new updates, so who knows how I'll feel about that one now.

Well, I'm leaving for Disney in about 2 hours supposedly. Yes, we're leaving at 3 in the morning. Boyfriend's stepdad wants to leave then, so the rest of us are staying up until we leave so that we can sleep in the car.

I'll let you all know how things go when I return. Thanks for all the great tips and ideas!

I just got back from Disney World today actually, had a BLAST as usual - it was my fifth time going. No matter how old you are, you never grow out of this place.

I recommend Mission:Space - don't get scared by the unfortunate deaths they have had recently, the Orange (more intense) version of the ride is INCREDIBLE and a very cool experience.

Also, definitely check out the Lights, Motor, Action stunt show - if you like cars, this stunt show is NUTS! Without a doubt, best stunt show I have ever seen.

As usual, rockn roller coaster, tower of terror, all the mountain rides, pirates, star wars, indiana jones stunt show, test track, etc. were all amazing. Such a happy place, can't wait to go back again.

    Re: Disney World

Well, I am back. I survived m first family vacation with my boyfriend's family... barely.

Disney was great though! I absolutely loved it!

Magic Kingdom: Pooh, Snow White, Peter Pan, Pirates, Big Thunder Mountrain Railroad, Space Mountain, Dumbo, Magic Carpets and the other ride similar to those two, Tiki Room, the thing that goes all around Tomorrow Land (can't remember the name), It's a Small World, Jungle Tours, I think that's it.

Epcot: Countries, Ellen's Energy show, Mission: Space (both green and orange), Test Track, Imagination, the ride that's in the big ball, Living in the Land, and Turtle Talk. I couldn't get on Soarin'. There just wasn't enough time.

Animal Kingdom: We went there for one reason only: Expedition Everest. It was sweet!

MGM: Tower of Terror (my picture was hilarous), Star Tours, I know I am forgetting what else we did there, but we were only there for about 4 hours or so.

I can't do the 3-D shows. They just don't work for me.

We ate at The Grand Floridian with Cinderella, The Steakhouse in the Contemporary, Chef Mickey's, Ohana, and the buffet in the Beach Club. Overall I was not very impressed with any of the food and had I not been foreced to purchase the meal plan, I wouldn't have eaten at any of those places except to see the characters.

We stayed at the All Star Music. The room was pretty nice. I loved all the musical stuff on everything.

I did get to see half of the Spectro Magic Parade or whatever its called now. Pretty sweet as well, but I felt bad for the characters. It was so hot the whole time we were there.

I spent way too much money on all of my souveneirs.

And now I feel like I could sleep for a week. I would much rather have been there for like a week and a half and then taken a few days for breaks between all the parks. It's so huge and so tiring. But I feel like I got a great workout!

    Thanks for all the advice!

Yea those restaurants aren't really the best that WDW has to offer...though Ohana's is good i think, especially for dinner. Next time you should hit up some of the higher end places.

Glad you had a good time.

It's one of the best rides at Disney. I would put Tower of Terror and Rock'n'Rollercoaster ahead of it. I went last year so Expedition Everest wasn't up yet.

I want to go back again but we're saving to go to Atlantis next summer.
