No questions asked. It's timeless. Is Detox going to be good? Well it better be because there is enough hype surrounding it since he said it's coming out.

Blackstar is the truth, maybe the best Rap/Hip-Hop Album in history.

My Top 3:

Mos Def- Black on Both Sides
Blackstar- Blackstar
Notorious B.I.G.- Ready To Die

let's be friends. i swear i was just listening to some biggie and thought the exact same thing.

my friends all think im crazy and worship weezy like he's the zepplin of rap but i just cant stand him. Some of his early stuff is ok (500 degreez is a pretty damn good album i cant deny it) but everything else; and believe me ive heard it ALL not just singles...im talking mixtapes and everything, is just garbage.

I've heard Jay-Z was the ghost-writer for Dre on 2001.

Some great ones:

Smif N Wessun - Bucktown (classic!)

KRS-ONE & Marley Marl "Hip Hop Lives"

Lost Boyz - Renee (another classic--one of my favorite songs of all time)

Papoose - Publicity Stunt (i-n-s-a-n-e)

Canibus might not deliver the best albums (poor productions, for the most part) but there's no denying he's one of the best lyricists out there.

Exhibit A;

Canibus - 100 Bars

You're probably right, and like I said, it's just what I heard (ages ago). I have no proof of this. But, I'm pretty sure the song 'Still DRE' was written by Jay-Z--you can look it up if you want to (the songs' lyrics are credited 'S. Carter').

Oh for sure, check me out
It's still Dre Day, A.K. nigga
Before I chrome the lot, can't keep it home a lot
'cause when I frequent the spots that I'm known to rock
You hear the bass from the trunk when I'm on the block
Ladies, they pay homage, but haters say Dre fell off
How nigga? My last album was "The Chronic"
They want to know if he still got it
They say rap's changed, they want to know how I feel about it

Dr. Dre is the name, I'm ahead of my game
Still, puffing my leafs, still with the beats
Still not loving police (Uh huh)
Still rock my khakis with a cuff and a crease
Still got love for the streets, repping 213
Still the beat bangs, still doing my thang
Since I left, ain't too much changed, still

now that you say that and i read those lyrics i can totally see jay z writing that. you just mindfucked me

Yeah something's fucked.

I can definitely see Jay's prints on that, no doubt. I just don't think Dre's rhymes were any good at all untill 2001--where it's pretty damn good. If Jay-Z (and maybe other rappers) were behind those rhymes it would explain a lot.

One of the most romantic songs I've heard. I've gotten laid to this more than once.

Probably one of the best hip-hop videos of all time. Fucking hilarious.
I love DP espeically the album Revolutionary But Gangsta. The 'Hell Yeah' remix with Jay-Z is fire.
