Re: What irritates you?
I don't know what typical police protocol is, but I just watched police let a woman go who is clearly stoned and a danger to herself and motorists. I'm not a cop basher so don't read this in that tone.
I watched this woman, who comes into my liquor store semi-regularly, walk in the middle of our busy street with the casinos, causing cars to slam on their breaks. She's cursing at random people and cars walking by and causing a scene. One taxi slammed on his brakes and a motorcyclist behind him almost slammed into his car. It was almost a really bad accident.
I called 911, and after a pretty quick response, a cop shows up and watches her in the act. After finally rounding her up, they cuff her. Backup shows up, and after about 5-10 minutes, they just release her.
I want to know how in God's name they couldn't tell she was the furthest thing from coherent. Just by a simple 10-second conversation you'd be able to tell she was a danger to herself and motorists around. I don't get it.
