I plan on going to see it tomorrow. I like popcorn...I'm not expecting an award winning movie. At least Shia isn't in it.

I wish they had just made a live action version of the Transformers movie from the 80's with Hot Rod and Unicron. Like the exact script, just not a cartoon, with the aweful hair band rock.

Saw it tonight, really awesome. I like the inclusion of the Dinobots. Marky Mark didn't suck too bad. The action was great, solid film.

And for the next movie, what I'd like to see:

With Optimus Prime going into space it definitely sets up them meeting "the creators", Unicron (from the original 80's animated film, creator of the Decepticons) and Primus, creator of the Autobots. Could see Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime accepting the Matrix of Leadership, and definitely could see Vector Prime (space guardian) popping up, as well. The next movie could be all in space and would be fantastic.

I will say if you weren't a Transformers fan in the 80's/90's, or weren't a huge fan of the last 3, you probably won't dig this movie and will think it's too long/drawn out.

But as long as they make movies with giant f'ing robots fighting other giant f'ing robots, fuck you, Michael Bay, take my money

Love it or hate it (you probably hate it), Transformers 4 has grossed $606.5 million and is China's highest grossing film of all time. It's on pace to become 2014's first $1 billion film. In other words, expect at least two more in the series

Yep. Anybody who goes into Transformers with expectations other than to be entertained is a fool. It was over the top, it was stupid, it made no sense, and I loved it with all my heart.

That movie was fantastic. All the humans were 100000x better than the idiots in the first three. My only beef is the conclusion felt kinda rushed. Overall, great plot twists and the action was fucking insane. Loved the Dinobots!

I liked it. The acting was definitely better. There were a few things I thought could have been better though...

-wish the funny guy from Silicon Valley stuck around longer
-wish his Mini Cooper was a transformer (personal...I drive a clubman)
-the auto bots were almost grumpy throughout the whole thing. A little too much
-the length...it was a marathon of action scenes. I don't mind long movies but the pace was relentless in such a way that by the time the dinobots show up you're thinking "this is gotta be over soon"
-I wish the dinobots had been used in a more personal way, had some lines, maybe some kind of heroic motivation.
-I hated the way the man made transformers transformed

That being said, way way better than the last two. I look forward to watching it again when it comes out on BluRay.

I thought Lockdown was a great antagonist. He was good enough that they really didn't need Megatron. I would have been ok without the whole man made transformers plot to be honest. If they could have just used the element of Lockdown hunting them down and found a way to create/introduce Megatron they could have had a more compact plot.

If they make another movie I really want to see them borrow heavily from the 1986 cartoon movie...Unicron, the death of OP, Hot Rod and the matrix of leadership etc. They've created Megatron already, just take it there and conclude the whole thing in a huge way.

And that seems like the way it ended that's what they were leading up to. Finding "the creator", which was Unicron.
