Re: Indian Food

I almost always order non-vegetarian curries and don't usually order rice dishes like Biryani or veggie dishes or many of the appetizers, you can choose usually any type of meat with these dishes but this is how I usually order them:

Beef Dhansak (lentil based dish but you wouldn't know it, good to have spicy and is naturally sweet)
Chicken Madras (traditionally just under Vindaloo in terms of spicy, order it hot!)
Lamb Jhalfrezi (also known as Jhal Fry and some other spelling variations depending on origin)
Chicken Dupiaza (or Dopiaza)
Chicken Bhoona (or Bhuna)
Karahi Gosht (Lamb dish with peppers, onions, pimento, tomato and spices, great served spicy)
Chicken Tikka Masala (like Butter Chicken but with peppers and more spice to it)
Lamb Rogan Josh (freaking yummy!)

I get a couple appetizers of Onion Bhajia, delicious little fried onion ball fritters, and then some rice and naan, sometimes I'll go with chapati instead of naan as it's a little less filling.

Fave cuisine ever. We get Indian take-out usually no less than once a fortnight.

Except that's actually West Indian food, not East Indian.

    Re: Indian Food

We hit up one of the couple decent Indian places here every week or two. Everyone always cleans their plates but groans when I insist we choose this food.

    My perfect meal is usually:
Naan (spiced however the table agrees)
    Vegetable Pakora or Samosa
    Baingan bharta
    Dahl
Chicken Tikka (perfer it without the sauce since I use the eggplant and lentils with it)
