MTV VMA thread
Ok, you all can laugh at me but I'm flipping between Olympics, and the award pre-show, and I jsut caught some of Ashlee Simpson's "performance". She would have been better off lip synching.
Anyway, I searched and didn't find a thread already started, so I thought I would be the one. I know there are more of you out there that will be watching.......

yeah, the dude from Hoobastank sucked major ass. I'm just looking foward to seeing Dave Chappelle and see who makes fun of. On a side note: Does anyone know if DMB ever played at the VMA's or the Mtv Movie Awards?

Yeah in 98 they played Stay with Tim, Bela, Butch and the LL's. 2001 they played TSB, but the producers of the show kept stopping them because in their infinite knowledge, the band was out of tune. They just weren't familiar with the baritone electric, which at the time was new for DMB.
Haha, Jon Stewart just bashed Hoobastank. That guy was way off-key.

I don't know if anyone else saw it, but definitely just saw the lead singer of Black Eyed Peas in the stands. So i guess an mtv award show means more to them then actually playing a show like they were supposed to
