Re: Ninja Turtles (2014)

They're the world's most fearsome fighting machine
They're hero's in a halfshell, and they're green
When the evil shredder attacks
These turtle boys don't cut him so slack
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Hero's in a half shell... TURTLE POWER!

Fucking loved the ninja turtles. Had the turtle back pack and Trapper Keeper. I can't believe how bad they are going to fuck this movie up.

I just don't get why not be creative and create new things for kids these days that will belong to THEIR generation? Ghostbusters, TMNT's, Goonies etc. They were all our's (depending on when you were born - I was born in 1981) and they were all new to us. I still remember to this very day sitting and watching the very first episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with my 3 brothers. I remember the guy at the commercial break with the funny voice that said "The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will return after these messages" and we thought it was the funniest thing in the world.

Point being that sure when I was a kid we had Batman and Superman, but you're always going to have those guys. But we didn't have remakes of Howdy Doody Time or the Lone Ranger and the shows our parents grew up on. We had our own stuff. This day and age people seem lazy and just recycle other people's ideas, be it TV or movies. So lame...I also feel incredibly old now having said all that hahaha.

This movie will be horrible. But being a TMNT fanboy, I'm sure I'll see it.

On a side note: Noel Fisher's performance in Hatfields & McCoys was so convincing that I thought he was mentally handicapped. Apparently that's not the case?

    Also without googling:

Splinter taught them to be Ninja teens
    Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines
    Raphael is cool, but crude
    Michaelangelo is a party dude
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Hero's in a half shell... TURTLE POWER!

Probably the biggest part of my childhood right there. Absolutely obsessed with these guys.

    So, will it suck?

    Apparently they're "aliens" - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1364828.html
I don't think they're still going to be aliens. That was an old rumor/scrapped idea. But it might still suck. Either way I'm gonna see it.

Not an old rumor. They are sticking with the aliens unfortunately. There was an article on Rotten Tomatoes recently about how one of the original creators, can't remember if it was Peter Laird or Kevin Eastman, was actually semi-defending the alien aspect and saying they are getting this movie pretty much right. The other co-creator, was quoted a while ago about how he thinks the whole idea is terrible and doesn't back it at all.

This is why the movie has been renamed to Ninja Turtles and not Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as they are no longer mutants.

I don't know whether he'll be the voice over actor or actually playing Splinter. If he's the latter of the two, then I'm really

To be fair, he has quite the list of terrible movies to his resume. Complaints about him aren't completely unfounded.

Not to say I don't enjoy a few of Bay's movies, but overall, not good.

Not to say I don't enjoy a few of Bay's movies, but overall, not good.
    Bay's resume:

    Bad Boys
    The Rock
    Armageddon
    Pearl Harbor
    Bad Boys 2
    The Island
    Transformers
    Transformers 2
    Transformers 3
    Pain and Gain

    .......and produced several more
