For anyone who ordered through the Collector's Choice sale last month and had items on back order, you might want to check the status of your order. I just got the following email from them:

"Since this order reached 21 days old before we received stock on these items, our system automatically cancelled the items. Unfortunately at this time we are still out of stock on the items and have no expected dates available. You may reorder the items via the website at your convenience."

That email is a reply to my inquiry three days ago, and the response came after I talked to a rep yesterday who said they were still back ordered with no update. So cancelled with no notification, that's disappointing. I ordered 7 albums and only received 2.

Even though "Songs From the Big Chair" has a new reissue coming out I found a vintage copy in great condition for six bucks last week. I've only ever been familiar with the singles so I didn't know there were some sax jams on at least one of these deep cuts. Good record!

The UTTAD postponement is so weird. It seems that if they were having production delays of 3 weeks they would have known long before the 24th that they wouldn't make it. Amazon didn't even notify me until yesterday. Had to read it here first.

The new 5.1 mix from Wilson is terrific (available for $20 on Blu-ray Audio) but I also have an original US pressing and one of the new MOFI Silver pressings and all of them are fantastic.

A worker bee from Newbury's came out before they opened and gave people in line pcs of paper and pens and let everyone in line write down what they wanted. if they were available he pulled them and put them up at the front counter. Nice to know that if I'm waiting in line for two hours I'm going to get want I wanted (which I am)

Anyone spin Recently yet and confirm it's garbage? I'm a sucker so I might get it anyway but want to know how big of a mistake it is first.

Found about 10 copies of recently at a small place in WI much to my surprise. $23 but I opted not to bother given that 1: I've never cared much for the EP in general and 2: I have half of these tracks on RTT anyways.

Would have gotten it but I stumbled across an import of the Talking Heads: Live in Rome album for $20! I couldn't pass that up so that settled my debate on bothering with Recently. I'm excited to spin that one!

Went to my store an hour after opening, only had Green Day and Metallica left. Picked Green Day for the hell of it, the blue vinyl is pretty cool.
