The Official Two Step appreciation thread...

First off, a little disclaimer... This thread is NOT in any way meant to belittle the RR:95 Two Step is the best thread started by Trippinchad, as it's a really good thread that will lead to some very good discussion. It actually just got me thinking how truly great of a song Two Step is.... It really is one of the most creative, unique songs Ive ever heard. Im consistently impressed with it, no matter whether its the first listen or the 500th.... Its song like this that no matter how critical I may be at times of their newer stuff Ill always love this band and no matter how many shows I go to itll always be one of the highlights of my night....

I've appreciated two step since the 90s when crash was first released. It's easy on the ears. Although some dmb songs I have to be in the right mood to listen to. Some songs I can listen to no matter what.

I have to be in the right mood to listen to Two Step. So, even though I appreciate it... it's not one of those songs I can just play randomly.

yeah the poll in the other thread is pretty impossible for me to choose the new or old version. I love both the short 7 minute version with the extended chorus jams, and the the 20 minute newer versions

edit- but i went with the old

This song really is a treat for me every time i listen to a new version. I love the everchanging Improv intro lyrics dave does and the jams always seem to change tour by tour, hell even show by show. Truly a spectacular song and one that epitomizes the best parts of DMB in my opinion.

It's my favorite DMB song. I also, most of the time, prefer the studio version. The 6/10/06 version is really good, too.
