And it was nowhere near worth the price.

I'd say my favorite overall was Cut though. Awesome atmosphere and the food was excellent.

Agreed. The most talked about aspect of that meal was our attractive waitress who introduced herself as "Dragon," and the excellent Kobe slider appetizer. Everything else was straight mediocre (and they messed up two of our orders).

thats good to hear. Cut is awesome, and I was disappointed with Prime too, food was pretty good but service was awful for me as well.

I think you mean Steve Winwood, a musician. Not Steve Wynn, the hotel magnate.

And the promo videos in the elevators are annoying...at least I was baked most of the time so I enjoyed the Santana show promo...the security guys must have had an awesome time watching me play epic air guitar to "Black Magic Woman."

If you can catch a famous music act, most of the venues are intimate. Seeing Santana from 7 rows back at House of Blues was pretty epic...just like your local bar.

Don't do anything that they do in Swingers.

Besides doubling on 11. Always do that if there isn't an ace showing.

Also, Bare Pool at Mirage is a great way to kill the daylight hours. If you call in advance and work the host you can get great deals. The last couple years we've had 8-10 guys, and they've given us free admission (normally $40 for dudes) plus a daybed (which includes your own fridge and waitress) as long as we spent $500 throughout the day. Between apps, lunch and booze that was a very easy task, and it's just a damn fun time. Way better than the regular hotel pools.

The best breakfast/lunch option is Hash House A Go Go, which is off the strip a ways but so fucking worth it. Also...

    In N Out Burger
    Canyon Ranch Cafe (Venetian)
    Carnegie Deli (Mirage)

Other great dinner options outside of steak include Sushi Samba at Palazzo, Il Mulino at Caesar's, and the Gourmet Buffet at Bellagio (weekends only).

Another word of advice -- The cards they hand out for strippers on the strip? They're not strippers.

Went for the first time last month.

Places to get a solid dinner:
    TAO
    Stack

    Nightclubs:
I tried to avoid them but loved the view at "Ghostbar" and had a good time at "Moon" for a few hours. Went to Surrender at the Wynn as well which was nice but I didn't have a great time.

Favorite place to grab a drink: Hyde at the Bellagio (great view of the fountains)

The pools are obviously fun during the day but I would avoid the ones with a high cover charge.

Doubt the group I am with will want to see a show. Anyone have any luck bringing alcohol to the pools? Thinking about filling up a water bottle with rum and water. Might make me gag, but will save me some $
