I've been listening for about 30 minutes now, not bad at all. I think your voice and the music are really pure, and respect for going out to memphis to get your thing going.

I'm into it. If I wasn't so broke and in debt I'd be sure to add you to my collection.

That said I'm not into your Billie Jean cover.
However, I think you're awesome otherwise. You've got a good sound, some country roots but not too country that your pigeon holing yourself.

I'm curious, why the title Nashville Outsider when you live in Nashville? Do you think you're turning some people off within the Nashville region by your chosen record label?

Keep on rocking dude. From the bottom of my heart, I hope you make it.

Edit: I think you'd do some really solid cover of Starfish and Coffee by Prince. It's famous that people would recognize it but you could add your own flair to make it your own. It's just a thought. I'm sure you don't care to have some random forum dude telling you what to play. Keep it in mind though!

Oh, and as far as the Nashville Outsider thing, it started as kind of a joke. I always heard people saying "Oh, [so-and-so] is a Nashville OUTSIDER," like it was a good thing, like Big and Rich or something. A badge of honor. So I named my company after it. That's all.

How do I look you up on iTunes store? I didn't read the band or CD name in your OP. I have some money on an iTunes card and could go for some fresh music.

Solid, I'll grab a couple tunes.

    Anything you'd personally recommend?

EDIT - Has anyone said you have sounds of Paul Simon at times?

"Still Want to Be with You" is getting a lot of hits. "Vain Regrets" is pretty cool. Honestly, I love them all.

And yeah, P. Simon is definitely an influence I wear on my sleeve. I thank his Graceland album in my liner notes.

    Hey friends,

Thanks again for the support. I am working on more new material and getting a band together, and interest in the record is starting to pick up a little bit, which is good. Let's hope it continues.

Here are a few videos from an acoustic gig I did the other night in East Nashville. The sound quality's kinda crappy, but you guys are cool with that.

"Heartbreaker's Lane" from the Outsider album:

    My cover of "Billie Jean":

and a new song, "Brazen Hearts":

Feel free to subscribe to my nashvilleoutsider youtube channel too. Thanks again, and I hope you all enjoy my music a little bit.

    Hey everyone --

I know some of you checked out my album Outsider (http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/outsider/id340653655) before and maybe even liked it, so I figured I'd give an update on some things.

I'm still kicking around Nashville, playing shows here and there with various friends.

I've been writing for my next album, which I'm gonna record this winter. Since the release of Outsider, I have written and recorded a lot of music, which I have released as 19 volumes of my Field Recordings series (sort of an ongoing Bootleg series of home recordings). It's all up on iTunes:

    http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/to...ck/id340653750

I spent about a year on volumes 9 through 19 and quietly put them out this summer. Some of the better tracks on those are likely to be re-recorded for the studio record.

    Here are some videos:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9mjV1gZOnc
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HzxczblOpo
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVwqc64VNrU
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMAJJKB1ibc
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NucifE5iA0M

My Twitter is NashOutsider, and my Facebook is www.facebook.com/nashvilleoutsider.

Also, I apologize if me promoting my music on the board is offensive to anyone. I just thought maybe some of you would like it.

    Thanks for listening!

I just bought your album Tom. I had some money on iTunes from last Christmas that I forgot about.

I liked a few songs of that album so I figured I'd support a fellow ant and musician.

Keep up the good stuff man. I also really enjoyed the song Teach Me, Say it don't spray it. Was hoping it was on this album, but hey keep it up man!

Thanks Andrew. "Teach Me" is definitely on the next album, but it's also here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/fie...ra/id457921646

Hey Tom, that's really solid work man! Loved that song Heartbreaker's Lane, especially when the lady came up a foot from your face to take a picture. Subscribed! I'll definitely have to check out your soundcloud later. If your interested, I've got a channel too... in the sig below. Thanks for sharing and I hope your new stuff takes off!

Topping this to give an update to those of you who might have checked out my tunes once upon a time.

Here's my new studio album that I just released:
    http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/tomschreck20
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sa...ry/id913226743
    https://soundcloud.com/saveyourglory

And here's me doing a Dylan cover (sorry the video's so bad, but the audio is not awful):
    http://youtu.be/LN0l2B_xesc

    Listen if you'd like. Cheers.
