I think their EP was perfect in terms of that. Drops in the River > English House > Mykonos is an amazing song run.

Their self titled LP was a bit more poppy so I see what he's saying there - that could be toned down a bit.

All you FF fans who are jonesin' for some new material should check out Josh Tillman's solo work if you haven't already. He joined FF as the drummer after the EP, I think. His album Vacilando Territory Blues is amazing. Look for it under J. Tillman. Also if you can find any live bootlegs, his live tour is great. Kinda Crazy Horse meets FF.

Here's a few updates from FF's facebook page on the album that's due out later this year...


A recording health update - turns out I don't need surgery, and we're mixing the record in July. Final vocal sessions start next week! Hope you guys like it, it gets pretty weird

Recording the harmonies now, all singing together at the same time, into one stereo mic!
June 15 at 11:19pm

The record won't be out for a while so I guess I should stop talking about it on Facebook. But we're so stoked! Not a head scratcher in the bunch yet.

Last update was about a month ago I think, they said they needed to lay one more vocal/drum track down or something and they were done.
