Affleck just won best picture with Argo. He can basically do whatever he wants next. Whatever creative passion project he's been itching to make -- even one that's considered risky to studios -- he could get the green light to make right now.

And instead he decides to put on the cape and cowl.

yea, but he was terrible acting in that. Great directing. In fact, I think he's a better director than Snyder. But I don't think he's a very good actor at all.

Snyder directs the hell out of some action. At least we know this film will to the gills in that department. Hoping for some hush type scenes.

Man of Steel wasn't as great as Watchmen, but it was still on the upper end of superhero movies, and Snyder is one of the sharpest directors out there. Few others can pack as much important information into a shot as he can; he's a brilliant visual communicator.
