So I watched Man of Steel for the first time last night. I'm a big Marvel fan and the only DC I've ever really been into his Batman, which is why I've ventured into this thread really. Well I really liked the first movie and I'm excited to see how this sequel turns out.

That could definitely be good news. I'd love to see a real dark Lex Luthor. Lex has always been rather campy. Spacey was pretty good but I think he can definitely be darker. I'm starting to be OK with the Affleck casting. As we all learned with Heath Ledger, you really have to wait until the movie comes out to pass judgement. I read somewhere that Affleck has signed on for a handful of these movies. That shows commitment and while he'll still make a pretty penny it says to me that there is some real interest in the role. I am still not sold on Batman already appearing in a Superman sequel, but again, we'll have to wait and see. Who knows, maybe this could be better than the first movie.

ya know I kind of want Affleck to come on here and wind up throwing down an overall performance that's as highly regarded and considered as iconic as Ledger's Joker. Just as a big middle finger to the people who've been the most insanely extreme in their negative reactions to his casting.

Hey Bo, considering how much obviously you love Smith and especially Affleck, from that above podcast video, given how much Ralph Garman as become a part of Kevin Smith's world the last few years, seems to have practically become "his boy", are you really surprised how blunt Ralph is being with his reaction? I am, I'm kinda shocked. Even if Ralph truly felt this way I never would've imagined he'd be so blatant about it right there to Smith's face, during the podcast. and not even just the saying that he doesn't like the choice, but also making fun of Affleck in different ways left and right. Like I wonder if maybe they didn't have a little chat backstage when they finished recording this.
