This was pretty much my initial reaction as well
Like wow talking about getting in on the ground floor with the thread.
I mean I've been keeping up on the progress of this off-and-on project for awhile now, I feel confident in saying I'm just as big a GHOSTBUSTERS fan as any other single person on this board (apparently I'm one of the few that loves #2 as well).
Having said that, even with the coup of getting Murray to return, I don't like this idea AT ALL. Having the original crew in smaller roles, handing off the reigns to a new, younger squad, them playing mentors, I'm sorry but it just smacks of potential lameness. I look at it not entirely unlike the DIE HARD franchise (and McClain is my favorite movie character of all time). It's like c'mon, you're gonna bother coming back finally after
all these years, just to do
that? Ugh, then just leave well enough alone.
I know I might as well be speaking an alien language when I say this Hollywood, but please -- at least try to come up with an even quasi-original idea for once this friggin decade
(this also goes for all the remakes that are getting announced at practically the rate of about one per day at this point)
