The movie industry has just gotten completely out of control with it's obsession for reboots and sequels to movies from 30 years ago. If we remake and reboot everything from the 80's what will the next generation of filmmakers have to reboot?
Dan Aykroyd is just coming off as completely deperate at this point.
I do get it. People buy into these movies and shell out the money. I have been guilty myself. But I just don't get how no one realizes how unnecessary these movies are and how they rarely ever turnout to be good. It is rare that any of these sequels with 30 year gaps are ever good. Look at Indiana Jones. People thought that movie was awful. I guess it's all about the $$$ and not the product. Just sad, because it would be great to see more original ideas. That's what made the original movies like Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Goonies, Gremlins so great in the first place. They were all so original.
