Again, I actually gave this movie a B+. I am certainly not claiming it was better than the original. In fact, it was the same plot redone again...
I agree that several jokes fell flat. My main point is that overall it was a solid movie. I disagree that the cast was meh. I thought they did well with a movie that was not their own. The first movie was always going to be a rehash and hard to follow the original. What I am excited for is the follow up to this. Let them have a new script with the introductions already in place. I felt that this movie set that up well. I guess I was more excited about what could be in the second movie than what I saw in this one.

Sony has said for a while they were predicting about $45mil for opening weekend. It looks like that is where it will fall.
End of the day, we may love GB, but it will never be as big as the Marvel movies or Star Wars.
