Musically that song was fantastic. Verse is 3 measures of 5/4 and one measure of 6/4 per phrase, and chorus was in 6/8. Really excited they went with a more complicated form for one of the new songs!

Good little diddy. Probably not going to be much. Another Mercy if they are lucky.
"I said stardust, look at us crawl out the mud." Quick takeaways: Very disappointed in Boyd. He was so low almost no reason to be there. Most of the set sounded so empty on some fills due to no/little violin. They've got new stuff up their sleeve, which is good.

It was a little underwhelming for a new song and some of the lyric choices were strange. Definitely will take a few more listens, it might need a little breathing room out on tour.

I'm just so grateful this band continues to make music for us. I get giddy like christmas every time I hear a new tune.
Song is very chill and the acoustic riff is classic dmb sound/chords. Can see the end building out on tour. Cheers y'all, here's to summer! |

For fans wanting a little mellower "old school" sound (myself included), I thought it was fantastic. Musically an A+. Have to listen to lyrics again, but those seemed a little better than recent as well. Overall, a very enjoyable new tune
 .

Poor boyd no where to be found in the new song. I just dont understand how they can ignore him so much. Violin would have sounded great in the new tune!

I thought for a debut it was a big success.
IT was light years better than the first couple times I heard Mercy or Gaucho. It to me has the musical sound of Beach Ball - Stay or Leave and Mercy all rolled together at times. Lyrically it had a very similar delivery to Beach Ball to me. Hope they go Big Whiskey Bsides for the style of the album...would be really good.
