As far as the comment that all the songs played thus far on the 2015 summer tour were played on the 2014 tour, yes they are continuing where they left off. The oldest they have reached back was 40 shows ago with Proudest Monkey on 5.16 which was last played on 6.25.14. That is the largest gap yes. If you meant that a lot of the first half of 2014 songs haven't been played yet, I would agree that yes it is still early but looking at 5.23.14 as a random example, only Sugar Man, Stolen Away, So Right, and Spaceman haven't been played in 2015. 4 out of 23.

Looking back over my post, the thing that stood out to me the most was 5.23.15 had 8 repeats from the previous NIGHT.
    First thing,

Second, we're human we all make mistakes. No big deal. Just that Snow Outside has only been played acoustic in 2015. As for extraneous, the part about tour debuts. 1st night of the tour being all tour debuts. 2nd night majority tour debuts as well. That's what's expected. But since the 3rd show, few and far between, and the debuts we are getting aren't the ones we (Ants) want. Lots of the same songs showing up over and over thus far.

Yeah, we're nsync about the 1st/2nd half stuff. Early still, for sure. Just saying.

Still doesn't change the fact that they hardly ever play Pig, Spoon, Last Stop, BOWA, Captain, PFWYG, Raven, The Maker, Kit Kat Jam, YNK, Dreaming Tree compared to SMLAM, Cornbread, Seven, Jimi (love it but it's so boring now), Spaceman, So Damn Lucky, etc

But Dizzy did in fact nail it.

I'm in the minority but I want them to play more and more covers. Adds diversity and their cover choices are pretty good. Need some new ones though. Following DMB is fun but it's not worth it when you go on a 3 night run and hear 2 songs played all three nights and another couple 2 out of the three. With their huge catalog it shouldn't be a problem. It's not the songs, it's the people playing said songs.

On the same token I love Pig, but wouldn't want to hear it every show. I love hearing as many songs as I can since DMB doesn't really "jam" anymore.

yes and yes. You even made a great point about the Bristow '96 show you went to on the podcast. Shit was repetitive. Now we're just getting a lot of shit or good but overstayed material. Sorry, I don't have my stats.

So, some of their best material from the first 13 out of 24 years they've been around has barely seen enough plays for 2 tours. Sure has felt like it.

At this point, I'd rather hear EWU than the three BW turds that continue to cling to the ass hairs of this band.

Hey, Dave moved Shake Me away from the encore closer slot this year, it seems. Baby steps.

I admit I complain about the setlists and the same songs every night it seems. In comparison to DMB, let's look at Billy Joel. Billy Joel has plenty of hits and classics to play, but yet its the same 26 songs every night for the most part. Once in a while, you'll get a rarity like Captain Jack if your in Philly.

DMB concerts for me personally are always a blast! While I have not seen them since 2013, I still love watching the set lists pop-up (its better than watching the Phillies - trust me there). I will still remember when I was at Alpine in 8-9-08 and finally getting my 1st Halloween and then getting a I'll Back You Up tease with Cornbread the next night (never tease I'll Back You Up.. that's just wrong imo).

Let's just be thankful the Band still tours and is having fun on the stage, and we all have a reason together over the summer months!

No offense to your point of view, and it's great that you enjoy the shows.

But this mentality and the whole "just be grateful they're playing" mentality is what's wrong.

"It's okay my burger was raw, I'm just gonna eat it anyway - I'm glad McDonalds is still open!"

Those arguments are kinda silly. Nothing person. Just my opinion.

I respect everyone's views and opinions. I stopped going to shows cause I was disappointed with the final show I saw in December 2012 in Philly. Yes, it was a solid set list, but I wanted more and was let down.

If people don't like the setlists, just don't go, or go see Billy Joel or Elton John. Let me know how much variety they have. That's all I am saying. Trust me, I have seen Billy and Elton many times. Its the same song almost every show. Be happy that DMB does change the setlist, while definitely not enough. I think we all agree, its not enough.

I like your McDonalds point. My son wants McDonalds tonight for dinner.

Complaining about the sets will not fix anything. They are going to play and do what they want. So why do we keep talking about this? Lets move on

So you're saying that our complaints will be heard and things will change? This site has been complaining from its inception no matter what the band does. Listen I'm an officer in the military so I'm all for critiquing things and having opinions and all that, but us trying to change the setlists is like my squadron of 50 trying to ask the President himself to let us have more vacation time. Just will never work in a million years...

People that complain about a restaurant wouldn't keep going back to said restaurant, let alone travel around the country to visit it multiple times.

Things are not so black and white. You can say you're disappointed seeing something, but still have other reasons to go. You can travel abroad to see a concert and do other things on the trip.

Ya I personally don't get the restaurant connection at all.

If you like the band and the direction they are going, then go see them in concert. If you don't like what they are doing, then don't.

The fact that so many go to shows knowing they won't get what they want and therefore they won't be happy is just funny to me. Its been like this for years and the band has done NOTHING in response to complaints. As they shouldn't.
