Philadelphia Phillies

I think the Phillies have a chance to get to the World Series this year, and if you get there, you can win it. I predict that with a good year from Pat Burrell and a much improved pitching staff, they will end Philly's 21 year world championship drought.

The phillies are winning the world series. There's nothing more to say They will destroy any team they face.

Don't be so cocky...they didn't prove anything this spring. I do expect them to win the NL East, though.

astros are overrated. they lost wagner to us. clemens is really old now. and pettite is a lefty pitching in a right handed hitters dream park. and o yea, they dont have an outstanding offense. nuff said. LETS GO PHILS.

Clemens dominated the Giants today. He didn't need to retire. He did awesome last year. He'll be good this year. And as for Pettite. He's just one of the best pitchers in baseball right. Underrated and underappreciated.

Pettite is not underrated or underappreciated. hes good, but dont call him underrated. its a righty's paradise, hes due for an off year. and just cause clemens dominated the giants, a team that has one dominant hitter and is not going to do anything special, big deal. he'll wear down over the season.

acheivement? what are you smoking? seriously, its such a weak division. and the way they retooled their pen, and burrell is hitting the ball like ive never seen him, and added a solid lefty in milton. please its the braves. get out of here and quit with your southern bias.

the phils are my pick in the east not because i live in philly, but because theyre the best team, top to bottom. throw in the new stadium to boot, and this is their year

Giving Vlad protection like Garret Anderson, and Garret protection like Glaus (he's going to have a big year this year), it just makes these two hitters monsters. Vladimir looks like he's about to unleash his potential.

who do the braves even have? youre gonna call russ ortiz your ace? the guy had a 4.50 ERA last year, and had protection in that rotation. you also lost sheff and javy, two guys who combined for around 70 homers and a buttload of RBI for the team. all you have left is larry and andruw.

Any team from the NL doesn't have to beat all 4. The team that gets to the Series only has to beat 1 of them. How many of you American League fans gave the Marlins a chance last year aganist the Yankees?
