My Take on the Eternal Set List Debate

Bottom line...when it comes to set lists, Dave is a HONEY BADGER...which, however, is one of the reasons this band is still rockin' like they do twenty years later.

I agree with you. Also just layering in a joke there to draw a laugh or two. Also, this comment does not pertain to the set list game, which I think is fun and cool to watch unfold.

Absolutely agree...can't stand these people that complain that DMB plays a "better" set at some venues like alpine or SPAC than at other venues. DMB plays music. Thats it. Very simple. Its not what he plays its how much you enjoy what he plays. Any version of a live DMB song is great! Just to experience the show with your friends is what really matters...not that he didnt play #41 or Two Step or whatever u think is a monster jam...I'll take shotgun, d.nancies, warehouse, or crush anyday!! DMB could play Recently for 3 hours and I would love it!!!

getting songs like warehouse and crush at a lot of shows isn't the problem. its getting songs like shake me at every show that is. i went to 4 shows (camden, hershey, bethel) in a week. they are all within 2.5 hours of where i live, so they are still fairly local and not at all a stretch to make it to. its not like i was traveling out of my way to be at these shows.

they played seven, shake me, and eh hee at all 3 of those venues, yet it takes just 2 shows later for them to bring out BOWA, crash, rhyme & reason, loving wings, too much, raven, and dreaming tree. why couldn't ANY of those songs be played even once at the shows i was at the week before instead of a third shake me, eh hee, or seven? and pig was cut from hershey because of a storm, so instead of playing it the next night at bethel, they play those other 3 again and save pig for alpine.
