Seriously. I loved the second set, but set III was even better IMO. PYITE opener had so much energy during the HEY!'s. Golden Age got awesomely funky, and then the Tweezer -> Heavy Things segue was like butter. Another solid composition piece in Guyute, which was also appropriately Halloween-y.
But the crowning moment of the whole weekend for me came in the Sand -> Tweeprise. SO MUCH FUCKING ENERGY.
So with all that, you get a set that reads:
PYITE > Golden Age > Tweezer -> Heavy Things, Guyute, Sand -> Tweezer Reprise
I feel like Phish followed up that game-chanigng second set with one of the most perfect set's of classic Phish music that they could have delivered. I mean, it truly had something for everyone. High-energy compositions in PYITE and Guyute, a funky ass cover in Golden Age, and two smooth-as-it-gets segues taboot!
