Recording Gear (HelpC)

Hello!

I'm looking to get a set up at the end of the month. The problem is I have no idea what I should be getting.

My budget is about $1000.

What do I need in order to be able to record music in my apartment and not have it sound like shite.

Any help is as always, very much appreciated!

At the same time? Likely just 1, potentially 2 + vocals.

Thanks for any help John, I don't really know much about it.

as far as an interface, that's up to you. but I'd go with:

    - Something that's USB 3.0, with 4+ inputs. I wouldn't get a recorder, just the interface, and let your computer/software do the recording (I've been using Adobe Audition for a couple years). You can also use the interface at gigs
    - 2 mics (1 vocal, 1 guitar). I'd honestly run a guitar mic'd and direct and blend the sounds, or just run the mic solo.
    - headphones/monitors
    - mic stand
    - cables
