Nothing said of note around me but, girl in front of me, SEC 114, slept from Warehouse on. Not passed out, slept. She just sat down, tucked her head, and straight went to nap town.

Wow! I was in 114. Crowd was pretty cool around me... quite a few kids. I did sit down a few times because my ankle/feet were killing me... recovering from surgery. It was downright painful to be sitting at a DMB show though!!! I don't think I've ever sat at a show.

One time I was at a show and the band opened with eh hee then the second song was seven. That got me mad. So then they played if only and that got me mad enough and I sat down. That run really pissed me off. I have gotten if only a few times since then and I have sat down each time. Its kinda become a tradition for me to Sit down during that song. Also I sat down for mercy>hands once. That was like the second performance of mercy full band so the jam Hadn't been devolved yet and it was really boring.

Props man! Wish I had the balls to make a point to Dave by sitting down. To be honest, actually, I would probably have killed someone if I'd seen anything that disastrous. Why does this band even exist anymore, they're completely ungrateful of us Ants who need actual songs, not these turds. Keep the faith! #LoVe

So you were at Southaven '13 too, huh? Was just mentioning this show somewhere else.

To be fair, that was without a doubt the worst show I have ever seen from them, and maybe from most other bands. Those 3 songs in a row are pretty rough as an opening, then the show didn't really go anywhere after that, and the sound was garbage. Sucked too cuz I had some friends attending their first show. Needless to say they haven't made a trip to Gorge yet. Though I don't think I sat at all there, for whatever reason. Still had fun, but awful show.

I forgot to post this last year but some fans were holding up signs that said PIG in all caps (and had thrown a stuffed pig on the stage) and when he saw the signs he goes "Oh shit man, there must be cops over there!" Guess the weed made him paranoid haha

Yep I sure was. Garbage show lol. But I still managed to have a good time.

I find nothing wrong with sitting down for a garbage song that you give no shits about. Especially if it's a slow song like OOMH or if only.

If the weather is hot and you are tired its ok to take a break and sit down for a shity song. Then you get your ass right back up for the next song.

That Southaven show was so freaking bad. Between the show, the weather, seeing it with my ex, and getting a ticket on the way there made it my worst DMB experience ever. Though Dallas '14 was piss poor as well.

Before the show I asked the guy to the left of my seat what song he thought was going to open the show. His response was "I think they'll open with under the table and dreaming." I said nothing to him the rest of the show.

So, this is another interesting part of this topic, to me.

I have also had this experience. I don't always inquire, but a handful of times, I've done the "Opener!?" conversation starter with my neighbor.

And, I've received similar responses before. Some non-DMB titles, songs that have never opened, or "i think they will just jam for a bit"...type responses.

Again, no harm, no foul....but just perplexing.

I kind of can relate to this because drunk me forgets words... I remember a few years ago telling my wife I wanted to hear "that one he always plays all the time" I meant Ants. But I couldn't remember the word for Ants.

Only reason i have for this type of response is if i was say drinking quite a bit and maybe mis heard you and would have said oh maybe something from UTTAD.
