Lillywhite Sessions vs. Busted Stuff Round 3: Digging A Ditch
These polls are turning out a lot closer then I thought they would. After a very tight race that included heated debate, the Busted Stuff version of Grey Street came out on top, 69 - 61. That puts us with the following:

1. Busted Stuff (LWS)
2. Grey Street (BS)


Now vote on which version of Digging A Ditch you prefer.

I'm going with Busted Stuff on this one. I like the slower pace for this song, plus it's much more polished.

    I like the Busted Stuff version better slightly, this was closer for me but I like LeRoi on BS better.

    The Busted Stuff version cannot top the raw emotion of the Lillywhites version. This was an easy vote for me.

    Busted Stuff.

    this song is awesome, and it sounds like complete shit on LWS. It's way too rushed and it totally takes away from the overall feeling the song is trying to evoke. They made it perfect on Busted Stuff and im really glad this was the official release of this song.

    This is the first one im voting BS for. Its a shame the quality of Busted Stuff(album) is overlooked to the overrated (but still great) LWS.

    I guess I'm the only one who thinks that LWS Digging a Ditch is one of the most passionate recordings by Roi.

    LWS by far. When Roi is on, he's probably my favorite part of the band.

    I'll take the Lillywhite version, but both are very good. I think Ditch is an incredible song. It is grossly underrated.

    I love the passion in Dave's vocal
    I love the tone of Dave's guitar
    I love the record player spinning at the end of the song
    I love the distortion on the bass at 3:06 on
    I love Roi's little sax line at 2:28
    I love how Stefan slaps the bass at 3:18

    There are some great little details on Lillywhite's Ditch that I used to overlook

    The drums on DAD of tLWS doesn't sound too gloomy, which is exactly the opposite emotion of what the song is trying to convey, IMO. The BS version gets my vote, hands down.

    Definetely BS. I agree with everyone else that its to fast on LWS. BS should win this by a landslide, imo.
