Yep this is true. It sounded pretty good, more of a "full" sound if that makes sense. Plus I thought he was just on fire last night with Crush and a few others. Still kind of a background figure in the BW and other songs though.

He was on fire last night. Not sure how long it was, but his crush solo seemed like 7 mins. The real violin sounds so full. Also killed his solo on Jimi and the intro of Blackjack. 2012 the year of Boyd

Yeah this was the first thing I noticed when they came on, and totally took me by surprise. That violin sounds SO much better than the electric it's ridiculous.

Hope it sticks.
