Here it is. File says m4a, but it's apple lossless. Same quality as FLAC.

The timing was awful early on and they knew it. It was kind of funny to watch and listen to. You could see the look on Dave's face. Way out of whack. They recovered half way through though. The jam was sweet. Good effort. Lol a little practice wouldnt kill this one

About fucking time they played this. Another song that would crush it in the acoustic setting with Tim's acoustic work.

Dave didn't set the pace, Carter did. He came in and ruined it. It's almost like Carter said well this song is slow and people and gonna go piss so Im gonna make it sound like Belly Belly!

When did the pace change? When Carter came in...he played it too fast...hopefully if they give it another go, they will have that sorted out

Dreaming Tree is one of their greatest pieces of studio work, in my opinion. Part of the reason it's probably not performed live is because it would be so hard to replicate such an amazing song onstage.

Yeah, the majority of BTCS, except for PNP/Rapunzel, DDTW, Stay and Crush are pretty rare. Which sucks cause, as I believe nearly all of us agree, it's their best album.

It's up there with Spoon for their greatest studio songs.

just about the only way that song could actually be bad is to play it fast like that... if that is the new pace they should shelve it again

    The Dreaming Tree 8/22/14

    Slow. It. The. Hell. Down.

I mean wow, I'm listening to the tape from the 8/22/14 show and my god, it's like they're racing to finish the damn song. I know they don't play it too often, but it's probably tied as my favorite DMB song along with DDTW, which too is waaaay too fast. No idea if this is gonna be a new thing for this one but I sure hope it's not. The slowly steady steady bass line from Fonz is so lost in this version. No me gusta

    Re: The Dreaming Tree 8/22/14

I wonder if Dave didn't realize quite how fast he was playing the opening riff and by the time everyone else came in it was too late. Because while everything the band plays now is played faster than it used to be, Dreaming Tree was extreme. Like unbelievably noticeable to the point where it didn't really sound good anymore. I would like to think it was more of a fuck up than what they were going for.

Either way, play the damn song more often and it won't sound so shitty when they do

Just listened to the intro of the song again, Dave sounded like usual as did Jeff. It was when Carter came in things seem to fly off the track. Surprised Dave didn't try to change the pace a little when the first verse started.

Maybe they should have played Belly Belly Nice (24 plays) less in order to give The Dreaming Tree some attention that it so greatly deserves.

Shortest full-band version since 8/7/03 (because it was played so fast).

Really does give the song an odd sound. If someone's skilled enough, try slowing it down and raising the pitch back to "normal" - that'd sound interesting lol
