Re: Looking to get a good pair of headphones

Anyone have a good recommendation for a good pair of Bluetooth headphones? I'd like to spend $300 or less and I plan on using it with my iPhone, so I want volume and playback controls built in.

I was looking at these and they look good.

The only other suggestion I have is cruise through cnet and see what they suggest. Then get out there and try some out. It's your ears you have to please.

Re: Looking to get a good pair of headphones

Anyone have a recommendation for headphones to be used in flights? I am traveling a lot for work now and need to upgrade. I am currently using these:
    http://www.amazon.com/Bose-SoundSpor...A32X7Y6IRZAYK7
They don't eliminate outside sound though. I had both my Surface Pro 3 and Iphone up to max and could hear the lady next to me talk the entire flight. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

    Cheers

might as well change the thread title to include these cans. this is the best bang for the buck. catch any artist in the studio on instagram or snapchat (John Mayer is using these currently, and you KNOW he's a gear-head); they're wearing these AT's.

i've used them to mix recordings for five or six years. won't trade them for anything.

    buy them.

    Here's Quincy Jones - http://www.blackfilm.com/read/wp-con...s-AKG-N90Q.jpg

He's using AKG N90Q, he mixed and produced the best selling album of all time.

    Buy them!

Looking to get a good pair of headphones

I don't really think the m50x are all that great of cans. The highs just don't sound natural to me, but I don't even have the x version (removable cable).

I got in on the hd6xx (rebranded hd650) drop in December. Fucking perfect for what I was looking for in a pair of headphones. I'll probably upgrade my amp at some point in the next couple months.

Does anyone experience intermittent chopiness when using bluetooth headphones?

Seems if my phone isnt on my right side of the body or when I'm looking left even sometimes, I get cutouts.

This is been evident on all my bluetooth devices with a samsung galaxy s6.

Would be elated if there is an actual fix to this.

Got Bose bluetooth in-ears as a bday present, and they are great. Use them with my shitty, cracked screen iPhone 5s and I've only had a cutout problem once, where it was just random static for like half a second. Have had them for about 2 weeks now and no other issues. Use them on the subway almost every day, have even put my phone down at the gym, walked a solid 20 feet away and still worked exactly the same.

So maybe the buds are faulty?

Yep. There's areas here in downtown Minneapolis where I will get interference each and every time I am going through if I have my Bluetooth cans on and walking somewhere. Certain intersections, both on the street waiting to cross, and in the skyway. I can set my watch by it that I will begin to experience choppiness as I approach these problem areas.

Nick quoted below what has been happening to me identically. If this is an equipement issue and not a pairing issue I will immediatly upgrade to what you have. But it seems like an interference issue at the moment. Sometimes if i look right to cross the street it cuts out , or if I am jangling around in my pockets etc.

This is almost identical to what happenes to me. I have been chalking it up to the billions of devices on the sidewalks at the given time and the weather

Ah, I mean, I've literally only used them on one subway line to and from work and walking around Soho last weekend so far, so it's entirely possible other parts of the city have interference. I didn't even think of that/realize it was a thing to be honest .

Do some testing over the next couple of days and let me know if you experience something similar!

Will do. I also personally would have preferred to try out Sennheiser or non-best-buy-level Klipsch in-ears, but my gf bought me the Bose ones and I'm actually liking them a lot. I've never been totally anti-Bose based off a silly rhyme, but I do think they're a bit overpriced. But these are good. Stay in my ears and sound noticeably better than the Klipsch ones I used to have (Best Buy ones), and they haven't given me listening fatigue in the slightest yet, which literally every other in-ear I've ever had gave me. Main reason I switched to cans but I needed smaller ones.

Any recommendations for wireless cans for $100 and under? I was thinking SennHeiser.

I haven't tried the wireless Senn cans that are, I think like $70? But I'm sure they are good, I love their stuff. Could also try out Klipsch (if they have some, not even sure) and while a bit bulky, Sony actually has pretty good ones under $100.

I love my Audio-Technica ones (I think I got them for $90 on Amazon Prime during the holidays):

They sound pretty much just like the M-50s, and are almost just as good.

I have been using these daily for the past year and a half. SUPER comfortable, and the sound is really good for the price. Can usually be found for $99 when they go on sale.
