The case has had a lot of ups and downs, but the basics are that this summer, the little girl went missing, but her mom, Casey Anthony, didn't report it or tell anyone until something like 6 weeks after the fact. She claims she had dropped the kid off at the nanny, yet this nanny was never found to actually exist. The mom denies she did anything wrong. The FBI has found traces of human decomposition in her car trunk though.

If the mother was retarded enough to do this... She's an idiot. Why separate fingers from the body (which was obviously hidden well enough) just to have a weird toy and shamrock memorial?

I think it's pretty obvious that the dismemberment of fingers and toes from a child are meant to hinder identification from finger and footprints - that are on their birth certificate.

To me, this absolutely smacks of a crime committed by a family member, in this case mother. There are psychological aspects to the other items in the bag that are going to put an insanity or diminished capacity defense front and center. FL is a bad place to kill people, and I take comfort in that.

well... the spot where the bones were found isn't anywhere near where they thought the body would be.
