you can't forget about Chester Taylor, too many people around here have forgotten about Taylor, he is a very solid back. He ran for 1200 yards last year, he is a capable backup/starting back in this league.

Culpepper played well, he still has a cannon for an arm!

I agree, and now looking at the schedule for the rest of the year, we have a good shot at winning that wildcard spot. Although I don't want to jump to conclusions so soon.

The real question is, why would anybody actually pick up the Vikings D for a fantasy team?

its official everyone was overating the giants. Think about there wins this season. A miracle goal line stand against the redskins, beat the hapless niners, the pathetic dolphins, the falcons lol, the eagles without brian westbrook, the pathetic jets, okay finally they beat the lions we'll give them that one.

    Then the loses
    GB
    Dallas twice
    Vikings

It adds up to really not being that good.

I think it's a huge mistake if they rush this kid back. He IS your franchise and to bring him back a week or two early just doesn't make much sense IMO. Chester Taylor is doing a great job stepping in for the time being, let him keep running with it and let AP get completely healed.

You guys see him working out before the game? He's running around like there's nothing wrong, plus he gets another week to get it ready.

That's what I'm saying. I really wouldn't mind if AP doesn't play at all the rest of the year. They need him to get 100% healthy. I just have a feeling he is gonna get re-injured and it could be a serious blow.

This is exactly what happened to Francisco Liriano of the twins two years ago. he got hurt, the twins started to make a push for the playoffs, so they rushed Liriano back and he got re-injured. Which led to tommy john surgery, he may never be the same player as he was before the injury.

I saw that, but running around testing it out before a game is completely different from actual game play. The RB position is not the problem for the Vikes right now, it's the QB position. I say rest him one more week just to be safe. Remember, you don't want to mess that knee up even worse and then have his entire career go up in smoke.

Those who get Tommy John surgery also have the possibility of coming back better than they were before the injury, so looking at this as a bad thing is premature.

In theory, any guy on the field at any time can have their knee torn up, regardless of it was injured the weeks before or has been healthy their entire life. If he's ready to go they should let him go.
