Re: Bon Iver

For Emma (the song) doesn't seem to be a common favorite, but it's mine.

For Emma is one of my 3 or 4 songs of all time. when those chords start up, you might as well just open the flood gates cause it brings back a lot of memories.

The drummer from this band went to my high school. He was a junior or senior when I was a freshman.

One of the guys from my band knew him pretty well. My friend hung out with him right before they left to tour in the UK last year.

They don't talk much anymore, but if he can reestablish this connection, we might have an ''in'' someday.

That's for that Scratch My Back project. I was not a fan of the Gabriel covers disc, on which he does Flume:

word. i have listened to that album so much over the last two years. not as much now, but i'll throw it on when i'm on a nice late night drive and it so hits the spot. like coming home.

sucks that the Bon Iver project is over for all intents and purposes.

For Emma, Forever Ago was an album I first heard back in like November. Listened to it all winter long then kinda forgot about it until this past week and it reestablished itslef as one of my favorites. Just an absolutely beautiful album. Re: Stacks is maybe one of the greatest songs I've ever heard for so many different reasons.
