Just start with 4. Not a continuous story. If you do pick it up, give it time. As Ricky will point out, the beginning can seem...less thrilling. He bitched and moaned about it then became addicted.

Fallout 4 is pretty awesome, though i wish it were easier to build houses for my settlements. or maybe i just suck at it.

You can. I would not recommend it though. One of the best things about the game is protecting the settlements and using them as an income base. Plus you meet random people through out the game that are special vendors who can really load you up weapons wise.

- How do you get more people in simplest terms? Place a beacon, beds and just wait?

- Can you direct people there as well?

- Is there anyway to keep track of who is assigned to what at the settlements?

- Does the food stat grow just by planting and assigning or is it up to you to harvest as well?

- Can I kill that drug addict granny and emo Asian that default at Sanctuary? (to the rest - not a spoiler) They annoy the living fuck out of me.

- And in simplest terms, what make a settlement great?

Food (with people assigned), water, beds and beacon.

Yeah, some npcs can be sent to places. It should come up in dialog if possible. I believe all companions can be sent to your settlements and I think it's workstations that trigger each settlement for coming up on the list.

Not that I know of, terrible UI. It's probably the most irritating thing about FO4 for me. If there's something I've missed, that would be a great tip though.

Food is made available when it's planted and assigned an NPC to harvest it.

I'm pretty meh on it but definitely see the appeal to other people. Getting vendors and producing massive amounts of caps with the water sales adds a layer of ease to buying up the neat weapons that come up on vendors occasionally. Can't think of anything else other than being a slog to get set up.

Once you have vendors at the settlements you can sell your junk to them. It pretty much becomes your best source of caps. Not to mention with a general trader at each settlement you have access to a ton of resources you would otherwise have to search for. Same thing with the ammo, medic and guns vendor.

I took one settlement and just planted a shit ton of that mutfruit. Then you can harvest it and flip it to your vendors for supplies or caps.

Started Bloodborne the other night. Got through the first two bosses, not sure how I feel about it. Doesn't seem like my kind of game. Visually it's great but I'm finding the combat a bit repetitive and its difficult to the point of bordering on unenjoyable. I don't like having to Google things to know what to do/where to go.

I have it. Played an hour or so today. It's definitely just a new skin on the FC3/4 formula, but it does look and play really well. I'm just not sure about the story and characters right now and not crazy that the whole game is in subtitles. I haven't gotten to the "beast master" mechanic though yet so I'll reserve judgement until I get a little deeper into the game. Early on I am missing guns to be honest.

I got bored with Far Cry 4 which is why I'm hesitant to try Primal. Let me know if it turns for the better though! I have plenty to keep my busy anyway.

Far cry 4 was good. Was just not impressed with how they designed the coop play. Was hoping they would get it right this time around but instead they just took it out completely.

I generally really enjoy the Far Cry games. I had a blast with 3 and 4, but the series is in serious danger of hitting that Assassin's Creed level of exhaustion without a shake up. While I'm not deep into Primal, so many of the elements are just cut and paste from the last two games, or slightly repackaged. The time period shift does not seem to make as drastic of a change as they'd have you believe. Obviously it changes combat, but the game still feels a bit too familiar. Which is good for the things you like, but bad when it comes to addressing the flaws.
