I'm not staying there, but grew up 5 mins from there. Be sure to hit up Bocktown Beer & Grill (if you're into that kinda thing, haha) which is 100 yards from your hotel.
Also, 2 of my favorite sub places are close: Uncle Sam's and Firehouse.

Airport/Robinson/North Fayette area is your best bet. Unless you want to look west into West Virginia.

My fiancee is 5'4 on a good day. We've been in the pit and the pavilion here. It's hit or miss, depending on who is in front of you. In the pit, it's easier to move around to find a viewing lane for her. Also, in the pit, there's a small stand in the back if it connected to the rail that'll give her a better view.
