My Tour Central Stats

Where is the OKC thread?
If I missed it, I aplogize.

After wiping the tears out of my eyes the past several months for the Colorado swing and miss, I have decided to cash in some airline points and head to OKC.

How is the venue? Any cool spots to check out while in town?

I won't be flying "dirty" but will there be ganja in abundance in the pit?

    Lol, you made me spit my coffee. For the record, I have to agree. I found pit tix on sale through ticketmaster. $70 each.

    I can't believe they'd skip CO and spend time in shitty Kansas and OK instead.

    But hey, a fans gotta do what a fans gotta do.

    Yea, I'm going too.


    I think most of the Ants going to this show are also going to Texas so what little chatter there's been about this show has been in the Texas thread. We can definitely keep this one open though.

    It's not a pit, it's 4,000 people on a space bigger than an official basketball court, but in this case it won't be anywhere near 4,000

    The OKC bombing memorial is pretty cool to check out. Bricktown for food/booze pre show.

    There's also a really good BBQ place next to the OKC bombing memorial, I can't ever remember the name of it but it's right across the street.

    Never been to this joint.

    Saw DMB at the ballpark in Bricktown, and also in Tulsa. In-laws lived in Tulsa for a long time. Thankfully they moved to New Mexico so I don't have to go to Oklahoma anymore.

    Don't you be bad mouthing Oklahoma like that! Just kidding, that place sucks, glad to have moved away.

    The show in 2003 was pretty good, one of the better shows I've been to. Had a lot of fun in Bricktown afterwards as well.

    Bleu Garten, Guyutes, Fassler Hall, McNellie's, the Pump are good for before/after. aka 23rd or 8th street area. Bricktown is convenient, but I hate it. If you must go, I recommend Tapwerks, Skinny Slim's or Whiskey Chicks. The venue is alright for concerts, the sound is good in the arena. It's where the OKC Thunder play and typically they use the floor and 2 levels in the arena for seating.
