Been drinking a lot of Alhambra 1925 recently. Not much of a beer drinker but nice flavour, 6.4% and like the label less green glass bottle.

New southern tier brew pub opened near my work. Went in there for lunch Monday, might be going back tomorrow since I couldn't drink.

They sell these really awesome 64oz growlers that looks like fire extinguishers. Definitely gonna be picking one of those up sometime soon.

Hit Brooklyn yesterday. Ended up with a couple of cases of Other Half, few cases of Finback and some one offs from Greenpoint.

Would be a goood time to be able to send out my box haha.

Oh, you snagged some of the DDH All Citra. Nice. Heard Finback was kind of a shit show with their release. Opened late, one check out line. Did you get there after it settled down? But more importantly, how is the beer from them? They are not far from KCBC, so very doable trifecta with Interboro, KCBC and Finback.

I got to finback well after the crowd but was still a pain in the ass cause they were selling it at the bar and there were still lots of people getting pours. The bitch bartender literally was pissed at me for asking for 16 of each. She even asked, "you really don't just want a full case?" Wtf no, go break down some cases and bring me my beer. Really pissed me off.

Edit: had both the Intertidal and the Stop Collaborate and Listen. Thought both were very good. Yet to try the Oscillation 8 and Hip Hop Airhorn

Yeah, heard that it was way out of control at Finback. Kind of surprising since it was not their first release. However, they are getting pretty popular so they might not have been ready for the onslaught. Or they need to rethink what is more important... the beer release or the yoga class before the beer release.

EDIT: was there any cans left at Interboro?

That's actually an awesome tip. I'm giving up beer for lent to try and help with my weight which has gotten a little out of hand lately. Be a lot easier to resist the temptation not seeing all these things bombard my Twitter timeline.

Yeah... my goal was 30 days (which is today actually). I'm about 98% sure I wouldn't have made it if I didn't clean up social media also.

I just went through all the packing materials and didn't see the bottle opener. Will check again later to see if I missed it.

I think in the first MBB round that we included swag, someone (I think it was Roose) put a Miller lite bottle opener in the box. It received the appropriate amount of ridicule and continued to be forwarded along to future MBB recipients.

It's just a long running gag really. Way back when the mbb was getting started several years ago there was a requirement to add swag to the box. I think it was Russo who put this Miller Lite bottle opener in a box. As It's Miller Lite and not craft beer related it kept getting passed on in every box as a joke...until now. It has disappeared evidently which is a shame.
