Thank you for the offer! I got Terra's PM the other day. We're actually flying into Albany, staying w/ my grandparents for a few days, then driving up to Montreal (and then to Saratoga). We should definitely coordinate things, though!

For sure - we'll probably be having breakfast at Moe's by the old Forum and then heading out around 11am to SPAC, arriving by 2pm? We could caravan down! Matt and Heather are in their own car, because they can't stay for N2.

I like caravaning! Although we may wind up staying an extra few hours... I'm pretty sure Laura (my girlfriend) is going to want to do some sightseeing. She visited Montreal while she was doing an internship in MA and loved the city, and she'd like to see it again (and show it to me).

hey all... my girlfriend and I have decided to stay at a hostel in Montreal for the show... she stayed at it the last time she went to Montreal and really liked it. It's a decent way to save some $$$ during the costly tour season It's about $21/night per person in the dorm-style rooms. It's called Le Sous-bois (http://www.lesousbois.com/) and it's in the heart of the historic district. Based on a map, it also looks to be pretty close to the venue. We're staying in the 17-bed mixed dorm... so if you reserve there, we'll see you!

We were going to stay in a hostel in Charleston, SC on our way back from Cville -- 10+ hours is a bit much for one day, and even though it would have been 8 or so to Charleston, it would have broken it up, and given us a chance to do some sightseeing. As things worked out, we wound up going to Columbia, SC that night instead (a little bit closer) to stay w/ one of my friends and make a side trip the next AM to see Laura's nephews. We wound up losing the money on the hostel b/c of when we cancelled, but it wasn't much, and it was worth it.

All that said, we do spend a little more $$$ on hotels sometimes (PGA in WPB!), but in this case, it's all about saving!

Stayed there last time I went to montreal its a really cool place. If they have them available I would get the private room. The dorm style is one giant room with like 20 people sleeping in it. Its very close to the venue and ideally located if you want to go around the historic district. Its a great place to stay the people were really cool and it was a great place to party.

Shouldn't be hard to get to, but I think it is unclear at this point where the actual show is being set up....I am taking the metro straight to Jean Drapeau, but the question is, where do I go from there?...

I went there last summer for a few shows...Jack Johnson, Radiohead, Iggy Pop. Anyways, I wasn't very fond of the venue. The security were idiots there last year. And, yes it was a General Admission venue. I waited outside for 8 or 9 hours in line to get a good spot for Radiohead. Good luck to all attending. Montreal is a GREAT city!!!

I'm pretty sure it was discussed a page or two back... it seems like the consensus is that it will be held in the field right near the metro station on JD. It seems like that makes most sense. And WH tix will get you in with early admission so we all should end up getting pretty good spots.
