I think I would pretty much agree, though I think the live Time Bomb will eventually be superior, if it isn't already.

Now, now, Maybe they are from new york and the only performances they've been to is the SNL performance during the release of everyday and the today show performance a week ago, then I can see their validation for liking the studio versions better. C'mon now, Get out to a tour show this year.

I've been out to a show and I am not saying its not a hell of a time, because it is. But If I am listening to the band I prefer studio versions to live ones. You are both acting like I am saying I don't want to see the band perform live and would rather sit in my room and listen to the CDs.

Re: Big Whiskey songs, Live or Studio?

    Well, so far I have:

    Grux: No comparison (NC).
    SMLAM: NC
FTWII: Live, by a huge margin.
LITHOG: Right now, studio. I imagine it'll always be studio, just because I like Tim acoustic more than electric. My opinion could change, though, b/c I think PM live > PM studio.
WIA: Live, no question for me.
    Dive In: NC
Spaceman: Live, by a narrow margin. Not the biggest fan of this song, I think it's good, but not excellent.
Alligator Pie: Studio, by a hair. I really am not into this song right now, so maybe my ranking will change over time.
Seven: Studio, this is a work of art. I love it. Live, I can't stand Dave's inability to hit high notes/sync with Rashawn's backup vocals.
Time Bomb: Live. Tim's pre-Dave-yelling solo is almost Stairway to Heaven quality IMO. Great stuff. This kind of solo would have been on a Lillywhite-produced record.
Baby Blue: I think this song is perfect in its own way. Rob really captured the rawness of Dave's vocals on a scale not seen since UTTAD (or maybe never). I can't imagine a live version topping this.
You and Me: I think they're equal. I really like this song studio, and I like it live. Not much more to say.
