Welcome to NY Loney. This was such a no brainer move, and we got him for cash. I like it.

Harvey looked good today. Velocity crept up as game went on. Still missing his spots pretty badly but he had movement on his pitches and throwing 96-97 MPH doesn't hurt. Posting in the Bottom of the 8th so hopefully they hold it. PS none of us ever thought in our wildest dreams that Neil Walker would have this kind of success.

And he threw a 98mph ball, so this is promising to see. I was pumped to see the Walker trade. I'm glad he's thriving.

Let's be honest, he hasn't been playing that well anyway. It might be time for the guy to hang em up

He was starting to hit. But he can't play with a herniated disc atop of his stenosis. He's going to put himself in a wheelchair. Him retiring is going to be the hardest decision he'll ever have to make.

Yeah, I love what the guy has done for the organization and he's the embodiment of a captain. Let's not forget last spring training what he and Parnell (I think) did to Syndergaard to let him know it's not okay to sit in the clubhouse.

That being said, he's absolutely a shell of what he was. He's a strike out machine, he doesn't (appear to be, I haven't actually checked his splits) to be hitting lefties well, and his arm strength is absolute crap. I do think, if he wants it, he has a future in coaching. He's got that demeanor.

I'm going to the game on Monday. Excited to see the day Niese has been waiting for since the day he was traded - to pitch against us

Also really excited to see PNC Park, and for Walker's return.

    Thor.

So, Wright is having surgery...didn't see what kind but if it's a laminectomy and or a discectomy there's an OUTSIDE chance he comes back before the end of the season. Looks like it is Wilmer's job to lose...which I'm okay with. He's been hitting well as of late.

Conforto's injury scares me...might be time to start shopping for a corner OF if he can't come back from this.

Discectomy AND a fusion AND lumbar stenosis?!?

Wright needs to start putting things in perspective long-term. Is this worth it?

Nope. I'm pretty sure you can still get paid if a condition is forcing you to retire. Regardless, Wright will get paid. I don't think it comes to down that though for him. If he's back for October baseball, fantastic, let him play, but I think this should be his last year.

Unbelievable job by Robles and the commissioner last night. Seems like Bart is going to be fine but holy hell this team cannot get away from the injury bug. Duda still hasn't done anything but ride a stationary bike. He's got to be starting some real rehab soon...it's been at least what...4 weeks??
