    It's been a frustrating couple of weeks for the Cubs, but I have to remind myself that they easily have the best record in baseball and they have a 6 game lead in the division. A sweep of the Cardinals would make me feel so much better though.

    That B.S. Baez call was really frustrating. If he's correctly called safe that changes the dynamics of the whole inning.

    I think he knew he messed up too, otherwise I think he would have tossed Madden. I'm not sure why the home plate umpire couldn't change the call there. It was pretty obvious he should have been called safe.

    That was way closer than it needed to be but I'll take the win today and the overall series win. Short flight back home tonight with a day off tomorrow and then 10 straight at Wrigley, so could be a nice stretch for them.
