    This sentence being in an actual article on ESPN makes me shudder:

    "The ESPN Stats & Information department pro-rated Kershaw’s dominance over a full season, and given that the Dodgers are 9-1 in his starts, he would actually be able to help the Dodgers to a 146-win season if he pitched fresh every single game."



    It's not just how dumb the 146 win part is, it's that they had to call in the ESPN Stats & Information department in order to calculate these high-powered analytics....which amounts to multiplying 9 x 16 and 1 x 16.

    I really don't get Don Mattingly sometimes. Fernandez was on 88 pitches after 7 innings with no walks, had just thrown two straight 8-pitch innings, and Donnie pulled him. Then A.J. Ramos damn near blows the game in the 9th.
