I don't see us even making the Super Bowl right now, and I was actually thinking that today before the game.

I've been worried about that for a while myself. Our defense has been terrible this year.

Brees would throw for 9 TDs against us right now.

I feel like a Bears fan with how pessimistic I turned, but there is literally nothing good that came from this game. I'm kind of hating how everyone on Facebook is trying to spin this as a good thing. It isn't. Yeah, maybe we could have used a loss at some point, but not in this awful manner to the fucking Chiefs. Giants two weeks ago? I would have taken that as our loss. This game? Fuck no. It's not a good thing at all, and we are in terrible position as we head into our last two games.

Though at all the people (specifically Bears fans) talking shit Ok, then.

I;m feeling very terrible about this. Saints are on a ROLL right now. They could easily come up to Lambeau and kick our ass. But, I think we get Clifton back and Jennings... and our offense will bounce back. I still like our chances as we stand at this moment.

If they come out next week firing, I'll feel more confident than I have all season with this team.

It's not just this one game, not to me at least. The team hasn't looked right for three or four weeks now, and it just happened to culminate in a loss today. Unlike last year, I don't foresee us having any momentum whatsoever going into the playoffs, although at this point I'd rather just see some semblance of healthiness.

I'll gladly take the bye week and presumably home field advantage throughout, but we can't keep playing like we can just show up and the rest will take care of itself. I know it's nearly impossible to maintain the pace we were setting through the first half of the season, but that's what it's going to take to win it all.

From what I see you guys are too reliant on the big play on both sides of the ball. I still think you're the best team in the NFC by double digits, and I don't think any AFC team can hang with you at Lucas Oil field.

    That sums it up perfectly.

Although I don't think we're double digit favorites over the Saints. And I could see a team like the Cowboys or Falcons sneaking in like we did last year, flying under the radar, and making a run at it. Not that we wouldn't be favored against them, but we'd be remiss to overlook them.

If you get a snow game, all bets are off. In some ways that's the nature of the game, but the way the Packers are assembled definitely invites it more.

ok man... How optimistic would you be if Rodgers was injured midway through the season? Also about bears fans talking shit. Living in WI, ive heard just as much shit talking back about us choking and you guys gloating for being perfect before this game. Im sure like me, all bears fans are bitter right and we are rivals, expect shit to be talked when your team loses.

I'm not really scared, but it all depends on how they come out next week. If they come out humming then we can proceed deep into the playoffs. If we sleepwalk through another game then I don't konw what we'll do in the playoffs.

I hope this was a wake up call for the players and McCarthy that you can't just show up and expect to win.

I don't think we will see them sleepwalking at all. It's in Lambeau vs the Bears and then the Lions. In a perfect world I'd like this:

We win on Sunday and clinch home field advantage.
Versus the Lions, Rodgers plays 2 series or 10 throws, whatever comes first. (honestly, with the line situation, I DO NOT want Rodgers in there vs a D-line like Suh and VanderDouche in Green Bay on cold concrete.

We get two weeks of prep, Jennings is back 100%, Clifton will be 110% and Starks will be ready to go. All three of these guys need to be in.

Our RB's should be back for Sunday, but Bulaga is still out. Not sure about the state of the O line going into the playoffs.

We are also entering into unknown territory in another area: This will be Aaron Rodgers' first home playoff game. There is no way to predict how he will react to that. Favre's last 4 playoff games at Lambeau they went 1-3. I don't expect there to be an issue but it is in the back of my mind. The colder weather has effected the overall efficiency of the passing game. We need to score and stay ahead for the D to do it's job. I hope Grant can keep running like he has the last few weeks come playoff time.

    Yea, but Favre sucked.

As a local "outside observer"...I would still be very confident if I were you guys, though as you noted, games in Green Bay will not be the "home field advantage" some might think with this team...you dont want it to be windy and cold and have San fran's Defense come to town...Id be worried about New Orleans a bit too with a better run game/pass catching rb game...the line should also be a huge worry.

    Well that goes without saying.

I would say that I am confident but concerned. Who knows what could happen to America's Team.
