Oh, and several people have asked about payment. Not gonna worry about that right now. Just get me your requests. Once dates are released, I'll give a two week deadline to get requests and payments in. At the end of those two weeks, I'll order shirts for everyone who has paid. It'll be PayPal to me.

And this is all at cost, btw. Justin and I aren't making a penny on this.

Though there's some buzz that they're playing Hangout Fest in Alabama, which is in May, so our dates could be close to that.

Never been to a tour opener - and if those dates are correct, I'll probably won't be going this year, despite it being in my city, as our baby is due May 22nd.

It was their first show back in Gruene Hall since taping Alive & Wired, and it was an incredible show. Not sure if they have folks that tape shows, but hopefully this one shows up one day

I've been reading the 2010 thread for info and I've tried to book a room at three separate hotel near the Pavilion for the Woodlands show, and they're all showing no rooms available. Does anyone know what's up with that? The hotels I tried were the Waterway Marriott, the Residence Inn on Market, and the Avia (Hyatt).

That's odd.

Waterway usually fills up, but I've booked the others on the day of the show before. Wonder if something else is also in town that weekend; a convention or something.


Last few years we've been booking at the La Quinta. It's a three minute cab ride, and is about a third of the price of the nicer hotels right by the venue.

My boyfriend has some strange hatred for the Houston area and I'm going to have to drag him kicking and screaming to The Woodlands anyway. If I tell him we're going to have to cab it back to our hotel again like on New Years Eve (saw Cake in Atlanta), I'll never hear from him again.

Woodlands page has something called the Ironman Texas Expo listed for that weekend. No idea what that is; a race?

I just called the Residence Inn and she confirmed that they were totally booked but she didn't know why. Fuck.

It's gotta be the Ironman thing. I did a search for The Woodlands, TX 5/18-5/20 and it's turning up ads on Craigslist, Airbnb, etc. for people who need a place to stay that weekend for the Ironman Texas.
