The Hiawatha Line is a good option. Used this form MKE to CHI last year for Phish. Worked great. http://amtrakhiawatha.com/

Anyone know how decent the view is from Section 5? I haven't been to Marcus since seeing Roger Waters back in '07 so my memories of it are a bit foggy. I can't remember how large the pavilion area is compared to Alpine.

I haven't been in probably 10 years or so, but I think I was on the bleachers. I am in Section 7 for this show, so basically the opposite of you. I would appreciate any help, or if someone can find one of those seat view maps that would be cool too.

Is admission to the Summerfest Grounds included in the price of my Marcus Amphitheater concert ticket?

Yes! When you purchase your ticket to a Marcus Amphitheater concert taking place during Summerfest, you will receive one (1) ticket that will get you on to the Summerfest Grounds anytime after Noon on the day of that concert. Patrons should be sure to hold on to their ticket because they will need it again to get into the concert at the Marcus Amphitheater.

Does this apply to Warehouse tickets too, or just TM/LM tix?

It doesnt matter where the ticket is from, youre good to go. Also, from what i remember the pavilion is decent no matter where youre at. I sat last row of the bleachers, corner section. Basically as top, outside you can get without sitting lawn. So if youre better than that you should enjoy. Has anyone found another band playing on the 2nd? Everyone I've found are playing the weekend before...

Awesome, thanks for that. I'm in Sec 5, Row U so hopefully that's pretty solid.

I haven't been able to find any info on other artists playing on the 2nd. I'm hoping there's some good ones, both so I can catch some other shows before DMB, and also for the possibility of some great guest spots during DMB's set(s).

I would not get your hope up on seeing anyone before DMB. Most of the side stage headliners start at 10, some lesser knows might start at 8. Not to say you won't be able to catch some bands before the show but don't expect to see anyone you know. I would love to see some guests spots.

Yes, there are bands all day long. You will be able to walk all over the grounds and find something different at each stage. Hit up Saz's for the combo platter during the day too, it's by the Miller Lite Oasis.

Any info on how deep the pit will be? What are the lowest letter rows in section 2? Wife and I were at Marcus for Mumford last summer sitting in section 1 a few rows up from the pit and it looked way too packed. They didn't waste any space. Every square foot was crowded all the way to the back.

At Alpine once you got to the outside back of the pit you could do cartwheels.
