Drank New Glarus Cran-bic and Scream IIPA last night. Once again, they knocked that style out of the park. Scream is holding up better than expected, but I really wish I would have been able to try it fresh.

I've got to decide on a craft keg for the wedding in a few weeks. I want something that as many people who don't want to drink BMC will enjoy. Right now my thoughts are an amber or a balanced pale ale. Anyone have thoughts on great beers that are likely to be enjoyed by most people?

Picked up a couple 32s of Sucks, a bomber of Stone/Smuttynose collab called Cluster's Last Stand, and a bottle of Maine Peeper Ale.

I think those are all safe choices.

I think we're all leaving out the best, and most obvious option. Break into FFF and grab a keg Gumballhead. And while you are there, grab me a keg of ZD and any barrels labeled VBDL

My "cellar" (aka bottom shelf that doesn't see light) has a nice little handful of beers. I have them dated and tracked in my ridiculous spread sheet of beer I've had

I use cellarhq.com to keep track of my "cellar." I have a problem of not always updating it when I drink a beer out of it tho.

OK guys the MBB Targets have been sent out as I received everyone's addresses. Please check your PMs...or email if your name is Dave. And Brett I screwed yours up, obviously you aren't sending to yourself, should have 2 PMs. Sorry.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I was hoping to have my box out Monday but will wait to ship until next Monday to ensure it will arrive without sitting in a warehouse this weekend and to help disguise it's destination

    Cheers.

    You and me both!

I couldn't make the Pump(KY)n release but it's supposed to be hitting shelves this week.

The bottled Tweak is the barrel aged version which hasn't been done before...if it's anything like regular Tweak it's going to be fantastic.

Ironically, I just found it in a shop near where I work in DC.....

I also grabbed a Ommegang Hennepin. My "cellar" is getting overfilled right now.

Greetings - for this beer exchange, I saw a set of rules to follow and don't want to screw it up. Did I read that there is a can only rule and also to send a drinking vessel as well?

for this one there is no specific requirement for the beer. can be a bottle/can/bomber/750 etc. The glassware MUST be something other than a standard pint glass. so looking for a piece of brewery stemware/can glass/other interesting glassware styles.

john can fill in the rest of the rules.

    1. Send strange beers
    2. Strive to send local beer but if more options are needed, send any available canned beer that isn't distributed to your target. (http://www.seekabrew.com/distro/index.html)
    3. The shipper fits 6 beers so lets plan on 5 beers and a glass
    4. You agree to include 1 piece of brewery glassware, preferably a specialty tulip/snifter/can glass/chalice. This means you Russo.
    5. You agree to include a few pieces of brewery SWAG (coasters, key chains, stickers, etc. - free crap we all always pick up)
    6. You agree upon receiving the MBB that you will be vigilant and get the box shipped to your target within 10 days of getting it, ensuring that time between targets is minimal.
    7. You also agree that if the box you send to someone is damaged/lost in transit or undeliverable that you are still responsible for supplying your assigned recipient with beer. This ensures no one gets left out. You will need to reorganize, pack it better, and re-ship within 1 week.
    8. Shipper is ultimately responsible for all shipping and packaging. If the box shows up intact but worse for wear you must repair/replace it before shipping.
    9. You agree to post a pic of your haul on Ants as quickly as possible, before Instagram, after you receive the MBB :-)

We have 3 slots still open.

Please PM me your full name and address.

Once the last participant is set, I will organize the journey of the box and ship first. I’ll make every effort to send the box to/from different regions in the US in order maximize participants getting beers they’ve never tried.

    Cheers!
here are the rules for this round of the box

no problem. and basically "Strange Brews" means anything that is outside of the typical styles (IPA, porter, pale ale, stout, etc.). It definitely can be a twist on a style...like barrel aging, or added ingredients. Like an IPA brewed with grapefruit zest would be an example of something that would be good for this box. sours, barrel aged beers, brett beers, and anything that just offers a simple or strange twist on a standard style. hope that helps.
