Dave and Tim 2012

I have been waiting for a small (relatively) Dave and Tim show this year.I know for at least the last few years the shows late in the year have been announced around a month beforehand. I greatly look forward to the acoustic magic they've given for so many years and really would like the break from law school. I see a little window between the DMB tours this year and am holding out hope. Has anyone heard rumors, announcements, or anything that would indicate shows either taking place or not?

DMB is touring full band November and December. Look it up, its not hard...

I always hope for Dave and Tim shows I also know what the DMB official tour announcements are, but I want to know if anyone has heard anything about possible Dave and Tim shows. What I hope for is the acoustic magic. I am just wondering if anyone's heard anything, because it has been mostly end of the year shows since 07', and these days 9 D&T shows a year is a lot. They played double that in 96', 97', and 99', and because the shows are few and far between (in terms of Dave shows), I'd be interested to know anything other people know or speculate about decisions that surround d and t tours or shows, particularly in the context of the short-term.

Hoping for some D&T dates. They'll probably do some West Coast stuff to make up for the East Coast tour.

DMB hasn't hit the west coast on a fall/winter tour in this millenium. i don't know why you think it's "this time around"

I just meant in regards to a tour, I know a bunch of people out there who were hoping "this would be the year" or "perhaps we'll get some shows". Just hoping they get something this year.

Yes, the West Coast did get shows this year. For the Summer Tour.

I'm sure people like to attend more shows that just one leg of a tour, I agree - I want to do both the Summer and Winter tour.

Regardless of past tours, or history, I know people were hoping for some D&T dates because the Winter Tour is, as predicted, an East Coast tour. Yes, it's unrealistic. But people can at least hope.

It's like everytime a tour is announced, I hope for an Arkansas date. I know it's not going to happen, but it's good to at least have hope.

There won't be any D+T before the end of the year. TR3 is touring until the DMB tour starts, and then the tour will wrap up the year. If there is any kind of D+T tour early next year, I can promise it won't be exclusively west coast.

my guess is that there will be a few scattered in the late winter and spring next year...unfortunately there probably will not be a tour, but only some random dates here and there...hopefully I'm wrong and they play a full tour, but thats kinda unrealistic these days it seems

It looks like there is a tiny window after TR3 and before the winter tour. Even so, I wonder if dave or tim would travel to play a show or two during the TR3 tour...I believe TR3 played near a dave show or two this year. Regardless, i'll keep listening tunes like Crush from 3-28-03 and the 2-23-97 show (including soundcheck) and hope that they announce shows and even more, pick small venues

Hah, how much for a ticket to the backyard show? I've always wondered how much that would cost in reality. I love that Dave plays what he wants to play. Beside that, my d&t dream set goes something like this;

Holy s***. That's it?! I'd pay $2,500 in a heartbeat to see d&t in a venue with 99 other quiet, appreciative fans....Dave and Tim shows are not of this world. Lets set this s*** up! Currently listening to the Canadiagua show of this year...my mind is exploding.
